Do you believe in fate/destiny?

Do you believe in fate/destiny? That’s the question in the daily promy today. For me, the answer is YES. My journey to Qatar, where I met my foreign boyfriend turned husband, is a testament to the power of destiny and the unexpected twists and turns life can take.
A Fateful Journey:
Growing up in the Philippines, I never imagined that my path would lead me halfway across the world to Qatar. But fate had other plans in store for me. It all began with a leap of faith—a decision to step out of my comfort zone and explore new opportunities abroad.
Love Across Borders
It was in Qatar that I crossed paths with the love of my life. ❤️ Our meeting was unexpected, a chance encounter that would change the course of our lives forever. I never thought that I will met someone like him in a dating application. It was during the most depressing time of my life that I received a message from a stranger. Who would’ve thought that a simple exchange of messages will lead to a serious relationship and marriage later on? Despite our cultural differences and the miles that separated us from our respective homelands, we knew that our connection was something special.

At some point, we have to be away from each other as well when we both left our jobs in 2019. He went back to France and I went back to the Philippines. He managed to visit me several times in one year and when the pandemic happened in 2020, we have no choice but to remain strong. A lot of things happened and the challenges that arrived but, I’m so grateful that we’ve been through and through all of them. Together.

Building a Family:
As our relationship blossomed, so too did our dreams of building a future together. After our marriage in France, due to my husband’s work, we needed to go back to Doha. We found a place to call home—a sanctuary where we could nurture our love and start our own family. From late-night conversations, to shared adventures, every moment solidified our bond.

Friends Along the Way:
In addition to finding love in Qatar, I also discovered lifelong friendships that have enriched my life in ways I never thought possible. The people I have met here have become like family, offering support, laughter, and companionship as we navigate the ups and downs of expat life together.
Embracing Destiny:
Looking back on my journey, I am filled with gratitude for the twists and turns that led me here. Every decision, every detour, was guided by fate, leading me to exactly where I was meant to be. My life in Qatar is a testament to the power of destiny and the beauty of embracing the unknown.
In the end, the question of whether I believe in fate or destiny is an easy one to answer. My journey to Qatar and the love and life I have found here are proof enough for me. A lot of things are unpredictable.
Here, amidst the desert sands, the blue skies and concrete wonders, I found love, friendship and a sense of purpose. Life always has a way of bringing us exactly what we need, exactly when we need it. ❤️
