Do you need time?

Of course, I do.

People often think that being a housewife means having all the time in the world. That my days are always slow, peaceful and easy. But the truth is, they’re not.

My time isn’t always mine; it’s shared between everyone and everything that needs me.

Don’t get me wrong.. my husband provides for us and he helps when he’s home. He will play with our little one or take over when I look like I’m about to lose it. And I’m extremely thankful for that.

But still… you know how it is. The weight of running a home doesn’t exactly clock out when he does. There’s always another task waiting, another “Mammaaaaaa!” being called from the next room.

Sometimes, I just want time that’s mine. Not time for chores or errands, not time to “catch up” on what’s left undone. Just time to breathe, to sit quietly, to feel like me again.

I don’t clock in and out; the day doesn’t end when the sun sets. And somewhere in between, I always try to find little moments for myself: a few quiet sips of coffee while my kid is at school, playing for an hour or two, a deep breath before the next activity, a quick scroll just to feel connected to the outside world.

Because yes, of course I need time.. but not just any kind of time.

I need a balanced one.

Time for myself

to rest and recharge.

Time for my child

to be present without feeling drained.

Time for my husband

to enjoy our little moments without being half-distracted.

And time for our home

to care for it with love, not exhaustion.

I need time to exist in all these spaces — not perfectly, but fully. ❤️
